Up to 16 shot, 2 dead in Florida club shooting

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Two people are dead and up to 16 injured after a deadly shooting at a Florida nightclub.
The Fort Myers Police Department responded around 12:30 a.m. Monday to the club, situated south of downtown, after gunshots were fired in the parking lot of Club Blu, according to a news release. Officers found more than a dozen victims suffering from bullet wounds, some of them life-threatening.
The more seriously injured victims were taken to local hospitals, police said in the statement. Other victims went to hospitals for treatment on their own.
